Thank you, Charlie!

Rainier Member Extraordinaire Charlie Wright volunteered his time and skills for Rainier Audubon for eight years, beginning when he was 11 years old. He compiled bird sightings in our area, wrote the monthly column Seen & Heard for the Heron Herald, led field trips, participated in Christmas Bird Counts and served as species compiler for the counts. Charlie is now off to college. In gratitude for all he has done for birding in our area, in September, the Rainier Board voted to give Charlie a $1,000 scholarship.
