Puget Loop
with Mapmaker Christi Norman
Celebrate Rainier Audubon’s inclusion
on the new Puget Loop map of the Great Washington State Birding Trail. Christi Norman, Audubon Washington Birding Trail Director, will give a photo tour of the statewide Birding Trail, featuring the Puget Loop and her favorite stops from among the other seven loops. There will be the “best of the best’ with iconic birds, plus lesser known sites that are local hidden gems from far east of the Cascade Mountains, as well as sites for bus, bike, or canoe paddle. Christi’s exploration around the state led her to old railroad hotels, wine bars, and neighborhood cafes, and she had a couple of adventures while making the maps with binoculars in hand!
Christi Norman is Program Director for Audubon Washington’s Great Washington State Birding Trail. Since 2002, she has worked with all 26 Audubon Chapters, hundreds of volunteers and landowners to develop the seven published trail maps.
